ESTIA NEAS SMYRNIS, ATHENS, GREECE
The Fey Courts beckon... and you are invited!

The Fey-born Baron, Elias Bezante, and his wife Hyacinthe are throwing a grand ball to celebrate their only daughter, Alkiste, coming of age! The celebratory ball is to take place in the Baron's high seat in the foothills of Minthi hill.
Baron Elias has been fleeting in his life – preferring the company of his fey-born side and natural landscapes more than their humane counterparts. Lately, however, he has been reaching out to more mortals than ever. Rumors speak of some imminent demise coming his way, with some claiming he is struck by an unknown malady.
Letters are sent out to his closest courts of ancestry, calling them to grace his palace. However, his fey kin are not the only party that is invited…

The Courts
The Last Dance of a Winter's Dream will include various groups of loosely (or not so loosely) affiliated individuals called Courts. These are the five Fey Courts, as well as the Court of Mortals.
You are not required to join a Court or consider yourself part of a Court. The Courts exist to provide opportunities and gentle guidance for the different kinds of roleplaying that will be present at the Fantasy Ball.
The Summer Court
In the Southlands, the Naiads and Nereids, who hail from Oceans and Rivers, bear the Gift of Summer. They are called upon to dress in Blue and White, resembling the colors of the Sea, and bring Song and Rumor onto the Ballroom.
The Autumn Court
Next are the Sylphs and Aurae, offspring of the Winds, who hail from all around, and carry with them messages and the Gift of Autumn. They are dressed in Purple and Pink, or Yellow and Orange and carry with them Flow and Rhythm, Dance and Sway as they prance around the Ballroom.
The Spring Court
Then come the Nymphs and Dryads, offspring of the Forests and the Hills, who hail from the rich greenery of Peloponnesos and bring with them the Gift of Spring. They are dressed in Green and Brown, and carry with them Charms and Poetry, Rhyme and Words of Beauty, as they trot along the Ballroom.
The Winter Court
And last, come the secluded Bheur of the Court of Winter, who have been touched by a lingering darkness that seems to loom where no one watches. They bring with them the Gift of Winter, reminding everyone how fast the cold unending darkness may claim them, and how fast a ship can sink below the surface. They adorn themselves with clothes of Grey and Dark Green, sometimes Deep Purple or Dark Red. They bear themselves regally, and walk around bearing sweet lies and harsh truths.
The Court of Mortals
Invitations to the Ball are also sent to Mortals, with their lack of flair and fixation on agendas. Dictated by laws and controlled by time, they bring with them the Gift of Freedom, for they are of a Fate not yet decided, free to challenge what is to be. They do not coordinate on their clothes, though some may look alike and are rather foreign to the ways of the fey -- yet they try altogether to fit in.
The information about the Courts will be expanded in the weeks leading up to the game. Keep in mind that you are encouraged to bring your own flavor to any Court you might choose to represent or join with your character. The tips above exist to provide guidance, and never restrict you in any way.
